God is so awesome to answer my smallest and silliest of prayers. How wonderful is it that my Heavenly Father cares about my needs and wants? Last week Hubbie and I had talked about wanting a swingset for the boys. We had a swing set up, but the boys were having to take turns and the set up we had for the swing wasn't going to last too much long. Then on Thursday afternoon I decided to price the swingsets on Wal-Mart.com. The ones we were looking at were around $100-200. I figured we could splurge for one now and make it a combined Christmas or birthday present or something. I didn't even talk to Hubbie about it again. I hadn't found one that I really had wanted and I knew that we would probably buy it at the local store. A few minutes later I decided to take a look at craigslist. I have found so many wonderful finds on craigslist! Thursday someone had listed a free swingset. I emailed the man and asked him if it was still available and he said it was to the first person to come pick it up. I called Hubbie and mentioned the opportunity for a free swingset and we started trying to figure out a way to go pick it up and perhaps borrow a vehicle. I wrote the seller and told him that we wanted the swingset, but needed to find a truck. He wrote back and said that he would deliver it to our house- no charge. After work Hubbie and the man took the swingset apart and brought it over to our house. The swingset looks great. Hubbie was able to get it together in time for our cookout on Friday night. It fits 3 swings or 2 swings and the rings to hang on. This was a huge blessing. I still can't believe that the seller delivered it for us and he wouldn't take any money for gas. Bubbie is loving the swingset in the backyard and was so happy to have friends over to play on it last night! Tonight, as the sun went down, our family headed out back to play on the new swingset. I still have to remind myself that we paid absolutely nothing for our swingset. I am then reminded how wonderfully my Lord provides for my family- even with the silliest of wants!

This comment comes in two parts! :-)
1) Don't want to run this idea in the ground, but what you did with planting the seeds and reading about it and watching the growth together is an example of how easy homeschooling can be. It doesn't have to be complicated!
2) Isn't it amazing how God works in the smallest things? Just yesterday someone gave me a pair of sneakers in Maddie's size. What a blessing and money savings!
That is great! We have received all our outdoor toys in the same manner.
I would LOVE to grow a pumpkin. When we lived in Michigan, I was determined to do just that - and after 3 unsuccessful years of plants that produced no pumpkins, I gave up. But, after a good garden year here in SC, I think I might have to try again next summer... and what fun for the kids!
What a great find for the swingset! God is good. :)
We had fun hanging out with you, too!
Yea Bub with the pumpkin! You go girl. I've never been able to make anything but children grow.
And awesome on the swingset deal. Maybe it was a swingwet angel :)
Your pumpkins are looking good; and you can tell how proud Bubbie is by that huge smile on his face.
Great find on the swingset! God is good to provide.
How wonderful for you! I know you will get many hours of enjoyment from the swingset. I can't wait to see the pumpkins!
We had that happen with a tv. Both of ours were over 10 years old. Aaron even looked at getting another tv, but we really didn't want to spend the money. We were having to use 1 remote for 2 tvs. The next week, after looking, my dad calls and offers us a tv for free. He is always updating and it was much nicer than both of ours.
