Debit Card

We went to my grandparents farm at the end of June in order to say "goodbye" to the farm. It was a last minute decision and I'm glad we were able to go. Since it was so hurried, we packed quickly and drove up after the boys bed time. We left the house around 8:30 and got to the farm after 3am..... long and hard trip and don't want to do that again for a very.long.time. Anyway... around 2 o'clock we stopped to get gas and I couldn't find my debit card. We tore my purse and car apart. It was dark and late. I just wanted to get to the farm, so instead of spending even more time trying to find it, I quickly called Mastercard and canceled the card. Thankfully it hadn't been used. The next day I went out to the car, in the daylight, and found the card...hiding underneath my seat! I was so thankful, but so very annoyed.... I worked at a bank and knew the process I would have to go through in order to get another card. Once we got home, I went into the branch, ordered another card and waited. I had to use my credit card and pay it off every few days. That got really old. A month passed. No debit card. I was ticked. I called the bank and the card had never been ordered. Annoyed. Very annoyed. I ordered another card and the man on the phone assured me it would be here within 2 weeks.... normal bank talk. So, I waited ANOTHER month. Still no card. Argh! Two weeks ago I went into another branch, talked with someone else... When we moved no one had changed my address on this "one side" of the system, so the card was sent to our old place with the PIN (yeah...that could have been BAD) and then forwarded back to the bank. So, the lady ordered yet another card.... get this y'all... by this time it had been almost 2 months. Yesterday I was ticked. Using the credit card and paying it off was getting very annoying. I called the bank and they gave me the run around. Then I got the phone call. It was in. At the branch. I rushed over there, got the card and PIN and now I am one HAPPIER lady.... still ticked that it took 2 mos. and very annoyed that they charged me $5 to replace a card that took 2 months.... Hmm... change banks? Hmmm..... still very annoyed.

I would be all up in there demanding that they take off the $5 dollar charge because you had to wait 2 months! But that's just me. Glad you finally got it worked out.
