More Finds! Furniture Headaches! Did You Know?!

This weekend we kept craigslist.com alive!

We found a toy (listed at Toys R Us for $69.99) for $20. I looked for months for one of these for Peanut's birthday or Christmas!

Finally found one on craigslist and we went and picked it up! Both boys have LOVED it! Actually, I think Bubbie has enjoyed it MORE than Peanut, but its a great toy...to me, not worth $70 but worth every penny that we paid!

Here I told everyone about my crazy decision to get rid of our couch and loveseat. On Saturday evening I check craigslist and again, found a chair and ottoman I HAD to have! It was exactly what I wanted. I even had dreams about this chair ALL night! I know, I'm crazy, anal, uptight, whatever...but I wanted that chair. So, all morning I checked our email. No response. When we got to the restaurant for lunch, after church, I checked our email and STILL NO RESPONSE. Finally, about one o'clock on Sunday afternoon, the seller emailed us back and the chair was STILL AVAILABLE! It was a sign!

We quickly called, got directions and Hubbie went and bought the chair! Woo Hoo! It was exactly what I thought it would be and its just lovely! I've always wanted a chair to "lounge" in and couches are nice, but ottomans are just fantastic! So, anyway, the chair is a year old from Ashley Furniture and they were getting rid of it because it didn't fit into their new house!

After we got the chair, we decided to load up the chair and search for a couch to match. The chair is fabulous, because its so neutral and it could match about 3 or 4 different colored couches. We hit all the furniture stores! Ugh! I hate shopping for furniture especially when the sales people FOLLOW you! Double ugh! Hubbie and I decided that from now on we should enter the store, ask if they have anything for x amount of dollars- we'd pay cash! and if not, turn around and walk out! Do the Dave Ramsey style! Ha! It was horrible! What made it even worse is that we have a talker of a son and he knows NO strangers! He talked the ears off some of the sales people and he didn't hold ANYTHING back! Especially that we weren't there to spend BIG dollars! :) Geesh! So, anyway, we didn't find anything we fell in love with, so we came home and Hubbie and I cuddled together on our new-to-us chair and ottoman and watched the Amazing Race!

One more thing...if I haven't made my way to your blog or commented in a while, I'll get there! Bare with me! I have 1000 unread blog posts on my google reader, so I'm a little behind! :)

And no blog post is complete without a picture of my darling boys!

Before church, Bubbie asked if I could snap a picture of his handsomeness....so I couldn't help but indulge his request!

wow! That is a great find from craigs list! We bought a lot of our baby stuff in good condition that way. We are about to start doing some furniture shopping too! I am not looking forward to it!

We had that Fisher Price house and my kids LOVED it. My Best Girl got it from Grammy and Papa when it first came out (but I think it was 50). I thought that was pricey, but they really got a lot of use out of it.

Congrats on your chair. It looks perfect for reading!
