First of all, a confession needs to be made. I am a slacker. I should have never EVER waited this long to post about this awesome prize, but I have. I won it before I became pregnant, so I can't blame it on the baby "sucking my brain cells away". Therefore, I can only blame on myself- SLACKER! And I apologize to those whom it matters!
Ok....now that that is out of the way, do you remember this? Well, probably not, but I do. I opened up my email and found Stephanie's email telling me I had won! No lie! I seriously could not believe I HAD WON this giveaway. I had drooled over Ashlee's slings for a long time and just couldn't get myself to pay over $50 for a sling.
Little did I know..... I got the sling in the mail a few weeks later and man! now I know why people charge more for nicer slings.... they are of such nicer quality. I kept telling Hubbie, wow! wow! wow! its so worth that price! I even had my SIL ask if it was a good sling, worth the price, etc. I told her YES! I sure do wish I had had someone local let me borrow their Nest sling before purchasing my other ring sling.
I won this sling. I love the colors. I love the reversible pattern. I love the thickness of the fabric. Once I adjust Peanut in the sling, he's good. I don't have to fool with it, like my other ring sling.
Unfortunately, and probably one reason I have been such a slacker, I got pregnant shortly after receiving this sling....errr.....that doesn't sound right..... I'm not sorry I'm pregnant......but.....just didn't get a lot of time to use the sling, so I haven't been much of a babywearer. I knew being pregnant would affect babywearing a tad bit, but I never knew how much. I definitely miss babywearing Peanut. I look at my slings in the van and think...soon, poor ole slings, you'll be used again...soon. Sometimes when we're going to yard sales I'll quickly put Peanut in the Nest ring sling, but with my 32 wk belly of Baby Bean, it just has become uncomfortable and almost impossible.
I long to be that babywearer again. I'm sad that my days of babywearing Peanut are probably gone. If anyone wears Peanut, it'll probably be Hubbie and in a Mei Tai or Ergo. My torso is just so short and it would probably be a lot easier for me to wear the baby and for Hubbie to wear the heavier child, Peanut. I so loved leaning down and kissing Peanut's soft head while he was napping....so snug against my chest. It was just pure bliss. I am ever so very grateful for Stephanie's blog, who introduced me to babywearing. I am also very thankful for Ashley's slings at Nonny & Boo. I now know what it truly feels like to wear a REALLY good sling! I love it and cannot wait to get Baby Bean in it!
So, there, I finally did it. I finally posted about this awesome sling that I won back in November!
Now, if you're interested in these awesome slings, you'd better hurry! I am so sad to say, Ashlee is closing up shop and after the 31st, there will be no more Nonny and Boo! All slings left are 1/2 off! So hurry and stock up!

I used my Nest sling a few times with Boo, but I'm not real comfortable with the hip carry so I didn't use it a lot (especially since I had the BabyHawk). I can't wait to use it with the wee babe in a few months, though!
Right now I'm still able to wear Boo in my BabyHawk because I can tie it under my belly (what little I have at the moment), but I don't know how much longer I'll be able to and it makes me kind of sad.
Don't feel like too much of a slacker, I'll probably never post about the ERGO I won b/c of how it all turned out. :-)
BTW - if you ever run across a great deal on an ERGO let me know; I'm thinking about getting one (mainly for Matt to use).
And now that I've written a book I'll shut up. :-) Have a great day!
