Are you done? Hmmmm... that is a question Hubbie and I have been asked QUITE a few times since we found out that we were expecting Peanut. Now instead of people asking if we are done- they just assume we are done having children!
My brother and I were chatting one night and he asked the same thing...... I told him that I hadn't had Hubbie make an appointment to be "fixed" yet, so that is always a good sign! The three children haven't driven me completely nuts for me to what anything done.
My doctor repeatedly asked me during my 9 mos of appointments if we were going to get a tubal. I repeatedly told her NO, if we could avoid it. She even asked me for the UMPTEENTH time, on the operating table, if we were gonna do a tubal. We again said, NO! Not if you can help it.
The Lord answered our prayers and gave the doctor the ability to sew me up so that I could have a 4th c-section done. Because of that, I am still in limbo about how many children we will end up with.
Do I want another c-section? Gosh! No! The idea of having another one makes me nauseous. I hate, hate, hate hospitals. I hate, hate, hate the recovery period.... even though this 3rd recovery was ten times better than the other two, its still not something I would GLADLY do again. It would be a way to meet another precious baby.
And the answer is NO.... we are not holding out hope for a baby girl. If we had one, that would be fantastic, but if it was another baby boy, we'd be thrilled too! Just because I do not have a daughter does not mean that motherhood is not worth it to me! I have three beautiful, healthy and smart boys.... a fourth one would be a blessing!
So, the verdict is still out. Some days, I say NO MORE KIDS. Other days, I look at my children playing and the baby smiling, and I just cannot imagine being done with "these days". I am ready to move on and be done with "baby days" but, then again, I'm not.
Only God knows what our family size with be. So, the answer to the question is, I don't know! :)

Best post ever.
Why do people think this is their business? And they usually ask it like they're all scared to hear you say "no, we'll have more".
It so rude and belittling to society.
I think it's amazing you're saying only God knows. We feel that way. We'd like more. 2 more, in fact.
I am the youngest of 8. My parents had MANY comments, and the more they had, the less nice they became (the comments). But, my parents supported themselves, we always had food, clothing and shelter, and they didn't rely on the gvt for any of it. We weren't rich, but there was plenty of love. Isn't that what matters?
Sorry to vent here. LOL Children are a blessing, and I hate that we live in a world where it's not seen that way, and instead we see DOGS in strollers.
Yes, children are a blessing. If God chose to "bless us" with money, I bet we wouldn't say, "No, I have too much already!" You know?! It truly is up to God and it is refreshing to hear you say so. :-)
I feel where you're coming from. We get the question a lot and baby #3 isn't even here yet. Guess we'll just see how things go and what God has to say about it. :-) Enjoy your boys!
We get the question all the time to :) My grandmother has even asked me if I'm going to get my tubes tied soon! Crazy. I am very encouraged by your response to the question. Everyone encourages you to let the Lord have control over certain areas of your life...but usually not this one.
I have been getting those questions since Pooky was born - people assume since we had both a boy and a girl, then we would be done. And now with #3 soon to come, I am getting asked again, like "you're done after this, right??". And then look at me like I am nuts when I say that I am not sure!
We are young, still plenty of time to have more kids. I say we'll see how I feel about it in a couple of years...
