Gingerbread Trains

Last year we began a new tradition by putting more emphasis on the togetherness and giving than getting presents during the Christmas season.  Now, don't get me wrong, we love to receive gifts and we do still buy our children gifts, but I just wanted to do more things to put our focus on Christ's birth.

One of the things we did last year that was a lot of stress fun was putting together and decorating a gingerbread house.  Bubbie did a great job and it turned out really well.

This year we decided to try our hand at another gingerbread house, but this year, since Peanut was older, we decided to really add some stress into our lives have some fun and get two!

Right before I went out to purchase gingerbread houses, I saw in an ad that Bed Bath and Beyond had Gingerbread trains for the same price as the houses so that is what we went with this year!

The boys did a great job.  It was stressful with hands everywhere and the baby crying in the back ground.  Peanut wanted to eat all the candy and had a full blown 2 yr ld melt down under the table when I told him "no more".  We made lots of messes and wonderful and funny memories!

They turned out great! Aren't 2 year old's grand? We have fully entered terrible twos with E-Man now. (It took him a little longer to fully embrace them.) Wow. I think boys do it better than girls too. ;)
