We Will Spend Christmas Like This, Take 2

Last year we started a tradition of having something special planned for each day of the month of December.  We did this to put more focus on family and making memories.  We want our kids to know the true reason for the season is celebrating Jesus' birth. (My post last year)

We had a wonderful month of December last year.  We did everything on our list and more!  We didn't always stick to the calendar.  Sometimes we had a long day so instead of going out and doing something, we would swap it for an evening at home- watching a movie.  This year we are carrying over quite a few things from the calendar last year because they were such a hit!  I hope that since Peanut is a year older he will be able to be a little bit more involved in our activities.  This year we are adding the Elf on the Shelf as a daily activity and instead of reading through the book of Luke( the story of the birth of Christ) every night, I think we'll break the story up into a few nights.

            So, here it goes.......

December 1st- Attend a local function

December 2nd- Put up and decorate the tree and decorate the house; Listen to Christmas music

Sounds like a great plan. We will be doing several of the same things, I just didn't pin anything to dates. Of course, I still have to make our advent calendar. :-)
