Today we made the trip downtown to attend a field trip organized by our home school co-op. The field trip was at our new downtown library that we have yet to go to, so we were all kinda excited to check it out.
A trip to a library is a weekly event in our family! I enjoy it. The boys find books about subject or characters that they are familiar with! I allow the big boys to each pick a movie for themselves. My first born son always looks out for his younger brothers and makes sure each sibling has a movie they would enjoy! We usually come home with 3 videos and about 25 books! Its exhausting work with the 3 kiddos, especially the little ones, but its so worth it when we snuggle up each day before naps and each evening before bed time, reading and enjoying our new books!
Our new library is wonderful! So clean and spacious! Much MUCH different than our last one that is just across the street! We enjoyed taking the tour of the new library and learning all about what is offered at this new facility. Afterwards, we hung out for about a hour, looking at books and videos, visiting the potty a few times (GROAN!) and being quite a rambunctious bunch! We were able to see some new friends that we made on Friday. So far, no super buddies for Bubbie, which is one of my daily prayers, but I know that takes time!
After we finished up at the library, we stopped by Hubbie's work and picked him up for a lunch date! The boys enjoy this so much...and I must admit, I do too! It kinda breaks up the day and allows for us to be out a little longer! Lunch was yummy.... Chick-fil-A, of course! And then it was time to head home for naps!
All 3 munchkins fell fast asleep...they all woke up SUPER DUPER early and we did have to be out of the house much earlier than normal, so its nice to have a much earlier break!
I wish I hadn't forgotten my camera, because the new building had some really cool architectural features and of course, my rowdy bunch is always cute! I even dressed them all in blue and khaki! Something my new "homeschooling" buddies have clued me in on...dress your bunch the same! ;o) I'm sure this will come in handy when I have 3 fully mobile kiddos!

Sounds like fun!!! I hadn't thought of uniforms but that makes perfect sense (good advice!). I'm jealous of your new library! Ours is terribly outdated so the layout is awful... BUT the librarians are friendly and helpful. We try to go weekly and to Chick-fil-a at least 2-3 times a month. Keep us posted - can't wait to hear about your next field trip!
That sounds like a great day! We don't frequent the library nearly enough. I know my older son loves the library books, but he prefers to only read them one or two times, so I should really just get him more books each time.
Sounds like a great field trip! I love the idea of dressing them alike!
Sounds like fun! Glad you are enjoying your co-op.
