The day it happened..... raw and oozey....
The next day..... scabbed up
Buggy usually stops at the end of the porch and wait for me to let him down..... not on Wednesday.... he went full speed towards the end of the porch and out of the corner of my eye, I could see that he wasn't slowing down like usual. And he fell and slid across the driveway...all on his poor, little nose! :o(
There was BLOOD AND MORE BLOOD AND LOTS OF CRYING! Oh my gosh! I think I am scarred for life! It was just awful.... I didn't really know what to do, because there was so much blood. I wasn't sure where it was coming from. After a lot of crying and screaming and blood, I finally got it cleaned up and realized that he basically got a rug burn on the top of his nose. I didn't take him to the doc/ER because I really wasn't sure what they would do, but put neosporin on it and send us home.
It just looks so painful and I know its gotta hurt him when he brushes against things... OUCHY! My poor babe! And I have a feeling, out of all my kids, he's gonna be our always getting hurt, because he is another "no fear" dude. Even after that incident happened, yesterday, he was still trying to just walk off the porch! He was doing so good, but I guess he just isn't caring about being cautious anymore! :o)

Oh goodness poor thing.. Well, at least it did happen during the right season. I had someone tell me one time to invest in a few red towels and to keep them on hand. That way, when there is a bloody boo boo, I could cut down on the insanity that comes from seeing that bright red blood.. I have been meaning to do that and think I will for sure after reading this! I hope he recovers quickly!
Oh no! Glad he's okay! Don't worry about him wanting to walk off the porch again and again, apparently my MIL tells me that my hubby used to walk off the back porch all the time until one day he finally figured out that it wasn't such a great idea - lol!
Poor Buggy! I hope it's not hurting too bad. :-(
Oh, no!!! Red towels = good advice, Dana!
Is he scratching his little nose? What a trooper!
