Handmade With Love

This week I set to work on my first hair "do-dad" project for Baby Girl.  Believe me when I say....this is my first and it won't be my last!

I had a little trouble getting started.  I didn't have any instructions and just assumed that I knew how to make these cute "yoyo" do-dads.  Boy!  Was I wrong!  Once I was finished with "MY VERSION" and I realized that it wasn't working exactly like the pictures.... I googled and searched and SEARCHED!  There are PLENTY of places to buy these too-cute-for-words hair creations, but very little instruction.  I finally found a sweet Southern gal's tutorial on YouTube and we had success!  Yay!

I made the top 4 in less than a hour!  And I made the bottom 3 in 30 mins?!  I am realizing that I need more buttons and fabric scraps!!!!  I snatched these buttons from my meager button jar!  I need to hit some yard sales or flea markets to get some more!

What a fun project!  I have been itching to get started on hair bows and accessories, but haven't found or made the time!

Baby Girl has quite a few "plain" dresses for the first few months, so I thought these type of things on her head would help liven up some things!  Besides, whats a girl without a bow and some jewelry?!
