Baby Girl: 28 weeks pregnant

Officially in the 3rd trimester!  Yay!  :o)  What a milestone!

Its been a few weeks since I've posted my weekly pregnancy updates.  I've been writing them, but just haven't posted any, so if you eventually see them in your feeds, I've posted them for memory sake and there is probably a lot of redundancies.

I had a doctor's appointment on Monday.  Everything is going well.   She is such a wiggle wart that its hard for the doctor to get a long reading of her heartbeat.  It takes a while for the doctor and nurse to find her and get her heartbeat steady.  :o)  My blood pressure is fantastic!  As low, if not lower than it is when I'm not pregnant.  My b.p. tends to be a little higher with pregnancies, so its such a blessing to have a good b.p.  Today it was 123 over 70!

I can definitely tell this is my fourth pregnancy.  Things seem to progress quicker as far as uncomfortable feelings, aches and just general tiredness.  I'm sure having Buggy being extra wiggly, starting to run and jump and trying to be more independent isn't helping!  Sometimes Hubbie and I say "Bubbie and/or Peanut weren't like this at this age!" but I'm almost positive they were!"  We've just forgotten!  And I was pregnant with Buggy when Peanut was this age, so obviously if we've gotten through this stage while pregnant once, we can do it again!

Since no one told me that my appointment on Monday needed to be a fasting appointment so that I could do the glucose testing I had to go back.  Mom watched the boys for me so that I could go on Tuesday morning.  The blood work went fine.  I was told I could choose half a fruit punch drink or a whole orange drink.  I have no issues with the orange drink, but the "blood" lady told me to "make a wise decision" and told me that the fruit punch is better, so since it was my last pregnancy EVER, I figured I'd test it out.  Let me tell you, the fruit punch is DISGUSTING.  Think of some nasty fake cherry cold medicine....but kept COOL for you.  GROSS!  It was so thick and UCK!  I can still taste it!  I finished that, waited an hr and while I did, I had to run next door to the hospital to sign in for my Rhogham shot to be worked up for me.  That took about a hour and a half, so once my 1hr gluclose testing time was up, I went back to the doctor's office to get more blood work drawn.  I still had 45 minutes to wait once I got the sugar test finished with, so I sat outside and ate my snack and did some things.  Then I went BACK into the hospital to get my shot, took it to ambulatory care, pulled down my britches and got the nasty stinging shot in my butt!  Gosh golly! that thing hurts!  Too bad it costs so darn much too!  Last time (with Buggy) we ended up having to pay for the ENTIRE shot... all $1200.  BOO!  Hopefully our insurance will surprise us this time (same insurance, different carrier that is paying less on things) and pay a lot more than we are expecting!  So, now we wait for the blood work results and we know that baby girl won't be "rejected" by my body if her blood type is her Daddy's type.

At the doctor's office on Tuesday I had an incident that kinda scared me.  I was given a consent form for a circumcision.  I've filled out 3, of course, and was surprised to get one again.  I decided to wait and fill it out until I checked out after my blood work.  As I asked the lady at "check out" if I did need to fill it out if the ultrasound tech told me the gender was "girl".  A lady from back in the room, peeked around the corner and told me that yes, I did need to fill it out and that her son was suppose to be a girl.  She kinda finished off her statement with a chuckle and walked off.  As for me, someone who doubted the ultrasound from day 1 and still stares at the pictures to make sure I can't see anything "special" in between the legs, this kind of statement gives me a sickening feeling.  I had to pray to Jesus afterwards to calm my nerves.  I have no problem having another son, but I just really wish if it was a boy, that I knew it from the beginning.  I sure do wish insurance covered at least ONE ultrasound (I had to pay for every CENT of the "one ultrasound" that most insurances pay for) but $125 to pay to have another just isn't in the budget!   I've gotten rid of all my newborn baby clothes and have weeded through so many other things that I'd really have to start from scratch AND sell all my girlie stuff I've been given or bought!  Geez!  Not something a 28 week lady wants to hear!

This pregnancy is definitely flying by.  My next appointment is every three weeks!  So long every month appointments!  So thankful that my appointments with my doctor have been less than 2 hrs long.  The last 3 pregnancies have been with the same doctor, the doctor's appointments were anywhere from 2-3 hrs long!  UGH!  Monday's appointment was a hr, from start to finish!  YAY!

I am a negative blood type and have had to have the rhogham shot with all my pregnancies. I never thought it was that bed but I have a very high pain tolerance. Thankfully my insurance has always covered it 100%. I guess I never paid attention that it cost that much. Oh and My doc (well really her nurse) always gave it to me at my 27 week appointment. I never had to go to the hospital to get it. That sounds like a inconvenience. I was hoping for a picture too :) I think preggo bellies are the cutest!
Glad every thing is going good and don't worry we know it is a girl! ;-)

Well here's a late congratulations! I've been away from my blogging friends for too long!

With my two girls I think I'd be nervous to have a boy.:) Thanks for visiting my new blog. We'll see if I can keep it up.

Glad everything is going well! I was thinking the other day that this pregnancy seems to be going by faster than the others did. Maybe because we're so busy with other things?!
