Good Monday morning, y'all!  Linking up to Laura for MPM today.  To see more menu tips and planning ideas, go here.

Sunday noon-  OUT
Sunday evening-  Hamburgers on the grill, potato salad and beans

We are anticipating a normal week as far as evenings go.  No late night showings.  No crazy driving around.  Stress in our home, even though we've found a house(YAY!), is still semi- high.  We move in LESS than 4 weeks and SO much to be done!  Packing and trying to coordinate appointments, utility transfers, etc. while trying to maintain some order in the home is creating chaos!  But we did pretty good sticking to our menu and eating at home last week, so I am hopeful for a calmer week!  Buggy was sick on Sunday, so we may be making a trip to the doctor this week to see if he's suffering with an ear or sinus infection.

Our CSA is to begin in the this week so I'm trying to make due with what we have as far as veggies go and am much anticipating the fresh veggies that will soon fill our fridge and freezer!!!  If you have any menu ideas for the following items, please let me know so that I can start working on a plan to eliminate waste of these great things!

White, gold and red skin potatoes
English peas
cabbage and red cabbage
sweet and red onions

I have our basic menu items for these things (potato salad, mashed potatoes, oven fries, cole slaw, etc), but if you have anything new, I would love to try them out!  Especially if its something that I don't have to turn my oven on for!  I've been doing a lot of sandwiches and cooler, lighter meals in hopes of keeping our home cooler.  Our air conditioner at the rental is OLD... like, the original to the house.... like 70's!  And we had issues with it at the end of the summer last year.  I can tell is just BARELY hanging on and I'm sure our power bill will be EXTRA high, but with the high 80s, low 90s we've had to bump the A/C down to keep our home semi-comfortable.  Praying the new house cools more efficiently than this one so we can save some $$.

OK so I must admit.......I am starting to stalk your menus :) We are trying super hard to cut back our grocery budget and I know you are so good about getting the most for your money. I may even try emealz again only instead of using the Wal-mart plan (which I hated and it didn't work for us) I might try the anywhere plan. OK so there you have it, my secret is out and my menu might look a little like yours ;)

Man, I wish we were having tacos this week! Last week the only thing that sounded good was pizza, this week it's tacos. :-)
