Happy August!! So thankful to have July past us and Baby Girl here and doing so well!
We have been truly blessed by quite a few amazing people's generosity and thoughtfulness during the last few weeks! We've had meals and gifts of love to welcome Baby Girl's arrival and what a wonderful thing! So many people didn't just bring dinner, but flowers, cards, breakfast items, meals to be frozen for later, etc. What a wonderful way to make this Mama (and family) feel so loved! People brought such large meals, several times, we were able to eat off of the meal one or two evenings and STILL have enough to freeze for a later evening! Indeed a blessing!
But, now that we have gone through a lot of our "frozen" stash, it is time for this Mama to put back on the menu planning hat. I have figured out that the goal for our meals for the next six months is for it to be quick, easy cleanup and healthy....and of course, good!
Monday evening- Lu and Baby Girl @ Mom's Night Out/ Boys- Chicken and Rice casserole (from freezer) with bread
Tuesday evening- Crockpot BBQ pork chops, mashed potatoes and a veggie
Wednesday evening- Leftovers
Thursday evening- Frozen bag meal with rice
Friday evening- Homemade (?) Pizza, breadsticks and fruit salad
Saturday evening- Roast, veggies and biscuits
Sunday evening- Leftover pizza and sides
