Well, we did it!  After months of talking, planning, discussing, reading, building and preparing......we purchased 5 Red Star chicks this afternoon!  They are happily peeping away in their cage.  They will stay in the cage for 18 weeks while their feathers grow, then we can put them outside in their brand, spanking new chicken coop that my dearest husband, Daddy and grandfather, Papa John built.

We're beginning week four of our new lifestyle change.  All organic and natural products.  No processed foods.  Nuts, little grains, veggies, fruit and dairy.  Its been difficult.  It can be time consuming, but we're learning.  God has been faithful to provide for our needs.  Budget wise, we've spent just about the same amount on groceries as we did before on eating out and grocery shopping.

At the end of May, 2011, we purchased our first home.  We are so grateful for our home and the way God orchestrated it to come to be ours, but living in a small home with 6 people has proven challenging at times.  Many times I fuss and complain, only to feel guilty for being discontent. Bubbie was moved into a new class at church at the beginning of the summer!  He was so excited to be a "big kid" and has a lot of fun!  He was so sweet to tell his little brother, Peanut, that he was going to miss him during kids worship!  Before, when Bubbie was in the Kindergarten class, the toddler class joined the "big kids" for worship!  They always stood next to each other and they enjoyed

August 22, 2011 was Baby Girl's first trip to church and our family's first time back after the birth of our little one. We had planned to go back to church a few weeks earlier, but a couple of things happened to delay our return!  And, of course, being a germ freak,  I'm always a bit fearful of germs with a little one in the house and sending three kiddos to three different classes!

On Monday evening, I left ALL FOUR KIDS with Hubbie while I went to registration for a home schooling co-op.  Bubbie will be taking a drawing class, an art class and a class about building, designing and programming lego structures.  These classes will be held 3 mornings a month! Baby Girl has definitely been growing and changing the past two weeks!  She is now 6 weeks old and did her first "real" smile at her Mama just yesterday!  What a treat!  She has the most beautiful smile and I'll be like the paparazzi until I'm able to get the smile captured! She is still the most beautiful girl in the world and I fall more in love with her every day!

Buggy just turned 23 months and his language is EXPLODING!  The sentences and phrases are coming together and every day we hearing a new word coming from his mouth!!  I am so thankful!   The other day I stumbled upon The Praise Baby DVD Collection online. With freshly picked North Carolina apples,  I made the kids a apple snack similar to one I had seen on Pinterest!  Sliced apples, smeared with natural peanut butter Sprinkled, homemade granola and chocolate chips on top made this a special treat They were gobbled up quickly and the kids asked for more!   I have said lately how much I LOVE apple season?!

Our sweet little baby is 4 weeks old today!  This is what she's been up to over the past 7 days!
