Welcome to my world!
I am Lu. I began my blogging journey in the Spring of 2007 as a way of dealing with my life as a out of the home, working wife and mother. Slowly over the years, a way of unloading and sharing myself, became a way to encourage and meet other moms like myself and to keep my extended family up-to-date. I also enjoy doing occasional product reviews and giveaways.
I am the 29 year old wife to my handsome Hubbie and we have been married for 9 years. We met while working at the most glamorous job in the world- Chick-fil-A- when we were in high school. We met young and married young! Really young!!!
I am the mother to 3 little boys, ages 6, 4 and 2 yrs old and a brand new baby girl, born in July. My quiver is full and my heart is delighted about the family that God has blessed us with and for the opportunity to stay home. All of our dreams have come true.
This, of course, does not mean that our life is without drama, messes and I struggle daily with dying to oneself and becoming that Proverbs 31 woman.
Bubbie is 7 years old and our oldest. He is our lover of trains, cars and learning. He is currently talking about magnetic fields and other things above Mama's head at the dinner table! He is so smart, handsome and quite the chatter-bug. His adoring younger brothers call him Bubba and he is truly the best oldest brother any siblings could find.
Peanut is our 4 yr old....the wild, charming middle child. He is our a cuddle bug and so loving. Also my little class clown. He is constantly trying to get us to laugh at him and into everything and learning so much from his big brother. He is an avid puzzler and could do puzzles all day long! He cracks us up with his facial expressions, jokes, dancing and silly antics! He brings a lot of joy and laughter into our family.
Baby Girl, is our little caboose and was born via c-section on July 5, 2011. She is a joy to her family and an answer to prayer! As a girlie girl, preparing for a daughter after 6 yrs of being a mom of all boys, is exciting! Our home has been invaded by bows! bows! and MORE bows! and of course, smocked dresses! I am quite a snob when it comes to little girl's clothing. ;o) I blame it on years of trying to find adorable boys clothing and not having a lot of luck!
I am addicted to blogging. I can be hyper and chatty. I love everything neat and tidy and organized- some call it being anal.
I am living my dream as a wife and a stay at home mommy after two and a half years of working outside the home. Some of my addictions are reality TV, Coke with crushed ice, family time, baking, reading, spending time with my closest girlfriends and when I have free time- working on craft and sewing projects.
As if all our craziness wasn't enough, we have decided to home school Bubbie for the second year. This is a new adventure for our family and definitely feel called to do this. We aren't exactly sure if this will become a permanent thing for Bubbie or for the rest of our children, but we are willing to try it and see where He leads.
Hubbie and I have been on a quest for natural and frugal living since beginning Dave Ramsey's FPU program in January 2006. Through that program we paid off $50,000 in 4 years and 9 months, became debt free in September 2010 and are continuing to strive to live like no one else, we can live like no one else.
You can read more about our journey to being debt free in the "Live Like No One Else" page here.
Part of that journey of simplicity and natural, frugal living has been to slowly start the journey of cloth diapering. It has taken me almost 2 yrs, but we are finally confident in what we are doing and what we like. Cloth diapering isn't THAT hard! Just takes some effort. For me its ALL about saving money! I'm not THAT crunchy!
I am learning daily to be completely dependent on my Heavenly Father who we give all the glory in our life, marriage and finances.

I appreciate all kind, constructive and encouraging comments, but please remember that this is my journal of sorts. I chronicle our lives, activities and my thoughts. I may write things that others don't necessarily agree with. I am not perfect and have never professed to be, but I do blog with honesty and integrity.
Thank you for stopping by and again, welcome to our little corner of the blog-o-sphere!
